Excursion to the Bird Park
Went to Kuala Lumpur Bird Park with the Sunday school last saturday. was a last minute decision. went with my elder sister. it was quite fun. took my digital camera which i thought could be used to tke a lot of pictures. but when it reached to number 10.... hahaha...guess wat....the screen read : no more memory space'. haiyoh!! so frust!!! wat kinda digital camera!!! 10 pictures and that is it! luckily it's not ours.. my dad borrowed it from his school.. such lousy camera!!
saw a lot of hornbills and birds.' talked' to a cuckatoo. at least when i said hello to it. it replied hello to me. it was actually trying to open its cage door when i visited it. then when i went over, it came to me and tried to imitate wat i said. when i i screamed it tried to scream like me too!!! but, when other people said hello to it... it didnt imitate them... im thinking....maybe i have some sorta bird magnet or something..hehe.
got to know a sunday school kid--ann ru. very brave little girl. 5 years old..but she is as mature as a 7 year old. she was the only kid who dared to hold a parrot on her tiny weeny fingers! when i was 5 , i was terrified of all these!!she then even volunteered to feed the birds by hand!! my Goodness, such fine training by her mother. During lunch time, She said she was vegetarian, so her mother packed her some doughnuts for lunch whilst the other kids were happily enjoying their nuggets and chips. My sis and i told her she could eat the chips... it was vegetarian. she hesitated at first because according to her mother, they are not allowed to eat chips. Her mother has never brought her to eat MAc Donalds. then, we persuaded her and finally she took the chips. Boy, was she happy to eat those chips which were just ordinary french fries! This girl here is so deprived of her childhood!!! when i was 5, almost every week went KFC for supper and i would be happily chowing down my kentucky fried chicken. but,i'm growing so bored of it now...haha..such irony of life is it not?
anyway... she ate 3/4 of the french fries. i asked her why not finish it?, she said : "very delicious, i want to save it for later....finish already no more lor... " then, my sis and i gave her some more chips. when her brother found out, he threated her and said he's gonna tell her mother she ate chips.. she was so terrified.
we watched the bird show.. and the orang utna show..but i thought the orang utan show was much more interesting. basically, i enjoyed the park, so did my sis and the others i hope. went home that night to help my aunty with her house warming party. helped her to prepare food or rather eat her food ..and become kuli...carry the tables and chairs to the partyt venue. ( most of our family members are girls you see... the only males are my cousin brother, my father and my grandfather. so out of 10, 9 are females. thus, some of us have to sacrifice our gender and help the 'recessive' sex a bit in doing heavy chores' )they had lots of konnyaku jelly and mushrooms there !!!! My favourites!!! I definitely had a big feast of jellies and mushrooms that day!!
